GIRLS-
with my blog relaunch I thought it would be the perfect time to explain my on-going headaches with Julep Maven and what a terrible headache it was to finally deactivate my account. This is going to be a fun tale of frustration, confusion, and failed customer service...
So, This is the beginning of my story,
I first stumbled across Julep Maven when I saw they were advertising for first time Julep customers to receive the first box of there monthly subscription service for absolutely not charge EXCEPT if you were shipping to Canada like I was you would need to pay a $3.95 charge to have the box shipped to your address. but hey, 2 nail polishes and a bonus gift for 4$ was a good enough deal for me!
I signed up, with my master card and placed the order for my free box from Julep, I was very excited to see my box arrive on my front doorstep about 3 weeks later and ran inside to open it up! There was 2 nail polishes inside as well as a cuticle pen. The 2 shades I received were a purple and a metallic dark silver with a purple undertone. They were pretty however not my style but it didn't really matter to me as the box was free and it was a fun experience either way. The cuticle pen was alright, it said it was intended to be used two - three times a day on your cuticle area - im not sure who in the hell has time for that but okay LOL.
ANYWAY, months and months pass, I let Julep charge me the 20$ a month fee for 2 nail polishes that are no better than polishes you find at the drug store from Sally Hansen and a bonus gift that usually sucked asssssss.
After a couple months of disappointing boxes I decided I did not want to continue to have a subscription with Julep Maven so this is where the real disappointment starts:
I searched around on Julep Mavens site and found a contact email, I decided to send in an email to request to have my subscription cancelled and within a couple days I received an email back stating the Julep Maven does all of there subscription cancellations over the phone and they also provide with the 1-800 number to call and have this completed. This seeming fairly normal for these stupid monthly subscription companies I decided to call this number...
Im calling the Julep number and I listen to the automated service system where I press option "4" on my telephone which should send you to subscription cancellation, once you have chosen this option on the automated system shit it leaves you a message that says "due to the high frequency of calls we CANNOT take your call, please leave a message with your name and phone number and we will get right back to you as soon as we can". Obviously, I left a polite message requesting a subscription cancellation with my name and contact information and let them know anytime of the day to call would be fine. A week passes and still no call, I decided to call Julep maven again and had the same exact experience. By this time 4 weeks have past with me calling them a few times a week and continuing to leave messages and still not getting any response. I finally decided I would go back to the written form and email the company again however I went into extreme detail to the sales manager about my terrible disappointing experience and again requested to have my subscription cancelled and that I was completely unsatisfied with the customer experience that Julep Maven shows. A week after a sent this very long, and firm email I did receive an apology email and also a confirmation that my subscription had finally been cancelled. FINALLY THANK YOU
THE SUM OF THE STORY:
It doesn't matter how many times, or what time of the day you call Julep Maven if you are looking for a subscription cancellation they will NOT take your call and try to avoid your concerns and requests so they can continue to over charge you for nail polish you can buy anywhere else.
HOLYYYYY THAT was a long story.
has anyone else had not so awesome experiences with this company??

My most worn lipstick EVER!!
Hey Guys!
So today I wanted to share with you my ALL time favourite and most worn lipstick, and even better- its from the drug store! So here it is, Revlon Colour Burst lipstick in "Petal". This is a beautiful warm peachy pink with a golden shimmer, however the shimmer in the lipstick doesn't make the colour look too metallic. I also love this lipstick because it is smooth and creamy however, doesn't bleed or move around on your lips while wearing it! AND the best part, its only 6-8$ at the drugstore.
So give it a try and see if it'll be your new fave!

UP
This is one of my favourite movies, it tells a true love story where sole mates are unfortunately separated, and shows how love is never ending. This movie reminds me of myself and my loved one, and I cant wait to grow old together. #trueloveneverdies

Night time - creams
Hey guys,
😊💜💋👌🌺🌸
today I wanted to share with you my current Night time cream routine! Both products are new to me and i thought it would be fun to do a short review of my experience with these products!
Benefit - it's potent! Eye cream
I got this benefit eye cream as a 100 point perk from sephora because I didn't like my murad eye cream that I had been using (it is WAY too oily). The 100 point perk sample size is 30g or 0.1oz and a regular price of the product in a full size of 0.5 oz is $36.00! So with a decent price tag I still think it's work every Penny! It's very moisturizing yet not greasy at all and has a very fresh clean scent. This product can be used morning & or night - however I just wear it at nighttime !
Philosophy- hope in a jar night
This was also a 100 point perk I was interested in try because I was just using my day cream as night cream. Hope in a jar night is a little bit heavier, than the regular day time version however it does not leave the skin feeling greasy or having too much product on. However, I don't like the smell of this product much - it smells like a cleaning product in a bad way. Also I don't find the product to be so outstanding that it's worth the $48.00 price tag! ( for 2oz)
I will definitely use the rest of my sample, however my nighttime all over face cream hunt will continue!

Nail post
Another nail post 😄
#ilovenailposts they are so fun to update and share my favourite nail combos and nail polishs! This week I have a neon coral nail polish on, it is a Sally beauty supply brand called "nina professional" in the color party "pink". I have tried many of the nina professional polishes and i have to say I LOVE THEM! they go on very even coated and extremely neon, they are a thicker polish but I find it not too thick to be able to work with. These polishes go on a lot like gel polish! A great buy! And for my accent nail I am wearing OPI Mariah Carey collection in "my favourite ornament". It's a very nice neutral gold shimmer that only takes two coats to build to this finish!
Happy Saturday !

Almond Nails
Hey Guys,
Just felt like sharing a nail post, I recently had my nails filled (I go about once a month to fix and make my acrylic nails look refreshed) I decided this time to stray away from my regular squared manicure and went for the new and very trendy almond shape. What do you guys think about it? Do you think the style is trendy and feminine? or not so much?
Would love to hear your thoughtS!

Factory:Warm dark brown satin- this colour is incredibly pigmented and easy to work with, one of my most used colours for sure
Mugshot: frosty taupe shade with a little bit of a warm rosey tone however does not show too much. great pigmentation!
Darkside:dark charcoal taupe satin- this shade is more cool toned than a lot of the other colours in the palette. this colour again has great pigmentation however I find suits the naked 2 palette more
Blackheart: black with rosey micro glitters- this colour is really pretty but I wish that more of the glitter would show when worn because the black by its self isn’t the most pigmented rich dark I own even from urban decay alone. ( I prefer blackout from naked2)
Note: Everyones taste is different! so depending on the swatches and what kind of eye looks you like to rock decide if you this the Naked 3 is for you ! Id love any suggestions for other products to blog review so let me know!!
Hope you guys enjoyed and have an amazing day!!

Part 3

Buzz: rosey medium pink frost- this is another colour I am not loving, although swatches quite nicely it doesn’t transfer as nicely onto the eye and has quite a bit of fall out
trick: gold copper frost with a hint of pink (this colour also contains small silver sparkles) - this colour is really pretty, nice and smooth feeling and doesn’t create fallout!
Nooner: matte medium rose shade- again one of my favourites, buttery smooth, blends amazingly and is my favourite crease colour at the moment!
Liar: this colour is very hard to explain! in the pan it looks more taupe however when swatched the colour brings on more of the rosey hue. Gorgeous colour pay off and is definitely a staple neutral
Here we go with the first set of swatches from the Naked 3 palette..
From left to right
Strange: matte/satin light creamy colour, very pretty however I always prefer a shimmery highlight so I don’t find much use for this shade however it is a staple for some.
Dust: light frosty pink- this shade I was super impressed with, I find it to not have a ton of colour pay off and also be a little flakey
Burnout: light frosty rose gold shade- love this colour, very pigmented, buttery and smooth. The colour also goes on very consistently
Limit: matte neutral rose shade- to start I just wanna say from all three of the naked palettes I think that the matte shades in the naked 3 are by far the best! very creamy and versatile can warm up any eye look.
Today, I decided we can talk about the Naked 3 Palette since it is a new release and alot of people are curious as I was before I purchased it if it is a good buy and worth the money and hype! Or maybe you are wondering which Naked palette you would be interested in getting! I hope some of my detailed photos and posts will help you decide if this is a buy or forget it! The picture posted above is in natural lighting without flash. (This will be the same for all swatch photos as well)
Enjoy!!
